Roger Fuller’s Artwork

Artist's Statement

For me, Art is a life long adventure. Always looking, absorbing and revealing. Every day!
No peace for the painter…

Discovering new media and challenging them to work for me, landscape or abstract, small or large, canvas or paper…decisions decisions.

Having been asked, after my final Fine Art degree painting was shown at The Left Bank, to create more pieces for the venue, I determined to make a body of fluid work.

Using the River Wye, the Herefordshire countryside and the fleeting moment of my human involvement with them was a fantastic opportunity. The series of pieces culminated with two large canvasses separated by a great window overlooking the ancient, stone Wye Bridge. These mixed media panels are the optimism of love and the continual flow of hope that supports that love. Two scenes that offer the environment and those in it, a blessing of trust.

I have my work in many private spaces in many countries. It is individual, uses colour with authority and is often an eye catching conversation piece. Especially the grand, expressionistic explosions of gold, silver, magenta and white oils, aerosols, inks and luminous sparkled naturescapes!!!
