(in association with The Academy) has been running for over 3 years since June 2016. Once a year or so the library issues us a set of sheets with details of the books available. Each if us ticks the ones of interest to us and that forms a guide to the library as to which ones to allocate to us. Each month the library then lends us a set of 15 copies of the month’s book. We maintain a journal of the books that we have read in which we can write our comments on each book read and record an average score out of 10. Sometimes opinions and individual scores vary greatly which makes for all the more interest! Always a very relaxed gathering – no need to have finished or even to have read the book! Occasionally we have a club outing for a meal and a performance at the Courtyard.

You want to learn Salsa? Of course you do! Meet a diverse group of new people, improve your fitness, build confidence and learn skills you can use anywhere in the world or just your kitchen, you choose!
But we understand it can be challenging ‘Everyone will be better than me’, ‘What if I’m judged’ or ‘I’ve got 2 left feet’. Most of us had those feeling at the beginning but we guarantee they will disappear. As a man who drove past my local salsa club in North London for 5 years thinking ‘I’d love to do that’ and when I took the plunge it changed my life
Therefore we have built a structured and fun learning programme for people just like you. After 8 weeks you’ll have all the basic tools for more rapid development in Level 2.
Even if you think you can’t dance, with salsa there’s a counting system that becomes muscle memory.
Beginners will now start at 7pm sharp, an hour before our Improvers & Intermediate classes. Allowing you a relaxed and comfortable environment to get started. You are welcome to stay for the whole evening and would actively encourage watching or joining in any activity during the night but its absolutely not mandatory.
We have 3 levels to entry –
4 Week Course (Half) – £32
8 Week Course (Full) – £56
One Off Taster – £10
After the Initial 8 weeks your individual weekly class and social is just £7
Payment can be made on the night.
