  • This event has passed.

5th November 2022 @ 7:30 pm 11:00 pm GMT

FARCICAL Comedy returns to The Left Bank Village on 5th November 2022 , with Harriet Dyer.

Harriet Dyer (BBC3, BBC Live at The Fringe, BBC Radio 4, BBC Knock Knock, BBC Ouch, Absolute Radio, The Russell Howard Hour) is an award winning comedian, writer and mental health advocate.

Harriet has been a full time comic since 2013. She’s had numerous critically acclaimed shows, works for the majority of big clubs and festivals, regularly gigs overseas, and prides herself in being totally original! – An experience to behold, if you will.

Harriet has bipolar disorder and does a lot of comedy work around mental health. Her debut, solo, hour-long show Barking At Aeroplanes at Edinburgh Fringe about her struggles and adventures with mental health received critical acclaim, resulting in a tour.

Harriet was touched by the reaction the show received, with audience members expressing how much of an important show it was and how refreshing it was to hear someone talk so openly about mental health. This led to Harriet creating the award winning, monthly mental health comedy night Barking Tales which is beloved by its many regular attendees.

Most recently Harriet’s written a book about her life to critical acclaim, and she’s been one of the main writers on both seasons on Jon Richardson’s Channel Hopping

Support from Lindsey Santoro

Lindsey Santoro has taken the circuit by storm since making her debut in 2014. Still one of the best hidden gems on the circuit Lindsey, who hails from Birmingham, has in her short time earned a place in the finals of both the English Comedian Of The Year and the Funny Women competitions.

Lindsey has also popped up on the radio appearing on BBC Radio 2 and 4 and regularly on Brum Radio and BBC West Midlands.

On top of that she has performed as part of the Best In Class show at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe and has appeared a grand total of four times at the Birmingham Comedy Festival, including her debut hour solo show in 2018, and three times at the Leicester Comedy Festival.

Lindsey recounts tales of her misadventures in life, all in her trademark down to earth, madcap, side-splitting style.

“One of the most naturally hysterical and gifted comedians in recent memory”

JOE LYCETT

Middle Act is John Robertson

Mr John Robertson has been a stand-up comic since 2003. His high-energy improv and insult comedy crowd work mean he arrives, raises hell, and leaves. He has a devoted cult following thanks to his online Twitch shows, touring show The Dark Room and the fact people love being playfully insulted by a man who clearly has more problems than they do.

He has performed comedy marathon shows for 48 hours straight (2020) and 50 hours (2021), raising money for the NHS, Mind and Shelter. Both shows were featured on Twitch’s global front page, bringing in audiences of over 250,000 people.

“What a marvelous, maddening concept this is from the twisted mind of John Robertson… if Kafka were to write a comedy show, this would be it”

– Chortle

MC for the night is James Ryan
