FARCICAL Comedy returns to The Left Bank Village on 3rd December 2022 , with Ria Lina

‌‌Ria Lina is a touring Filipina comedian, actress and writer known for her appearances on BBC’s Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News For You, The Now Show and Mock The Week – and in November was named as one of The Evening Standard’s ‘Hottest Comedians You Should Be Watching Now’.  Throughout her stand-up career Ria has taken five shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her work tackling topics such as autism, topical news and racial identity. Her career stretches from stage and screen, to radio and the occasional ukulele – all in a unique style described by ‘The Scotsman’ as ‘fearless , provocative and very funny’.

A prolific writer, Ria has written for the Ladyboys of Bangkok ‘Fantasy & Feathers’ and ‘Glamorous Amorous’ tours, and wrote and acted in ITV2 comedy sketch show ‘Meet the Blogs’. She has also written and presented her own Channel 4 documentary that revealed the truth behind the myths that surround East Asian women in Britain.

Daman Bamrah is one of the most exciting and unique new comic voices to emerge from the London circuit. A British-Sikh performer with energy, raw wit and heart, the in demand Daman is known for his topical writing, acute observations and imaginative storytelling. His blend of carefully crafted jokes along with his signature charm have already secured him top spots at the country’s leading venues including Angel Comedy Club, Up The Creek and The Museum of Comedy.

Daman began performing improv while at university and went onto train with the prestigious ‘Second City’ before applying his skills to stand up. Since then he has built up his accolades racing to the semi-finals of So You Think You’re Funny?, and being a finalist for the Max Turner Award, Monty’s Stand Up Nights, Comedy Virgins Summer Competition and winning Up the Creek’s notorious new show The Blackout.

During the 2020 lockdown Daman began producing multiple viral videos on TikTok and is developing his first sit-com idea. He has also starred in Lynx’s ‘Men In Progress’ branded campaign.

Middle Spot is Jez Flynn

Jeremy Flynn is a Bristol comic who has been performing mix of observations, anecdotes and gags since 2015. 

He reached the semi finals of So You Think You’re Funny, a prestigious annual stand-up comedy competition for new acts, soon after entering the world of comedy; and in 2019 was nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year.
