Last Thursday of the Month, 8pm, Upstairs in De Koffie Pot The DKP Book Club (in association with The Academy) has been running for over 3 years since June 2016. Once a year or so the library issues us a set of sheets with details of the books available.

Each if us ticks the ones of interest to us and that forms a guide to the library as to which ones to allocate to us.

Each month the library then lends us a set of 15 copies of the month’s book. We maintain a journal of the books that we have read in which we can write our comments on each book read and record an average score out of 10. Sometimes opinions and individual scores vary greatly which makes for all the more interest! Always a very relaxed gathering – no need to have finished or even to have read the book! Occasionally we have a club outing for a meal and a performance at the Courtyard.
