29th May @ 7:00 pm
A discussion evening on Wednesday 29th May, upstairs in De Koffie Pot. We will be meeting at 7pm, aiming to start the discussion at 7:30pm The topic we will be discussing is: Should the UK legalise assisted dying? If anyone wishes to join our mailing list, please click here. Assisted dying is becoming legal in more and more countries and US states. Jersey’s parliament has voted in favour – in principle. Scotland is likely to debate the topic this autumn. At Westminster, a free vote on assisted dying is likely in the next parliament. There are strong arguments for and against – but not many of these debates seem to have explored the common ground between the position of those For assisted dying and those Against it. That’s what this event will help you to do. The discussion will be led by Perry Walker, who has facilitated our exploration of a wide number of discussions. Please share this event with anyone you feel would be interested. The DKP Discussion Group |
