The Arts Society Hereford brings together people who believe that The Arts enrich life. We meet regularly to hear stimulating lectures on a wide range of subjects, to welcome new members, and to make new friends. The Society offers many opportunities to volunteer such as Heritage Volunteers, Trails of Discovery, and Parks & Gardens projects. Our aim is to learn new things, meet new people, and to have fun!
The Splendour of Colour: Painted Vessels of the Maya:
Diana Davies will give us insight into the Mayan world view through examination of the construction and design of their colourful ceramics.
We meet at The First Floor of The Left Bank on the second Tuesday pf every month and lectures start promptly at 2:30pm. Please be seated by 2:15pm. Lectures last for one hour and there is an opportunity to speak to the lecturer and to have refreshments.
Guest tickets £9. Membership is £50 per year including nine regular monthly lectures and membership of The Arts Society and the West Mercia Area. For tickets and more information, contact: Chairman, The Arts Society Hereford, 01531 633 516, www.theartssocietyhereford.org.
